Buddy Guy & B.B. King:
I remember being really excited about this show as I'd never been to a real blues show before. Little did I know that as great as this performance was I would be seeing quite a few more and each better than the one before it.
Seeing Buddy Guy open for B.B. King is still a frustrating experience. Sure B.B. is great but come on, what the hell does Buddy have to do to get some respect. Step on stage and do his thing, done. Follow it up by playing in the style of every blues great in history, done. Yet still he has to open for B.B., well personally I think it should be the other way around. Especially since B.B. is too old to even stand and play. I dig B.B. but I prefer Buddy, any day of the week.
I went to this show with Rob and Danielle, but I just can't remember who else wa with us. Write in if you know.
