03.08.08 Darien Lakes Performing Arts Center Darien Center, NY
The Dead:
Bob Dylan:
 This show was during the Clear Channel $5 summer where Clear Channel would auction $5 tickets to shows or you could buy them outright for $10. Face was closer to $40. Paul had scored a $5 ticket but Kristy and I were going to try our luck on the lot. When we got to the lot we were having trouble until I ran into a old fraternity brother "Opus". He hooked me up with the only VIP pass I've had to date. Paul and I went in near the beginning of Dylan's set, Kristy however was left to fend for herself and meet up with us later, Paul having a lawn seat we figured this wouldn't be too big a problem. I checked out the VIP area and the Sony booth that I had a pass for was pretty full and didn't look as friendly as I was hoping for so I found an empty box and Paul quickly found his way passed security to the booth. Paul and I were living it up in the booth ordering drinks and diggin' the show. Kristy however, was on the lawn seeing the show solo. The weather was good thuough so it was no big deal. I think we heard the first part of the show from the lot while we searched for cheap tickets.
