My name is Steve Borrelli and I'm the Instructional Design Librarian at Washington State University. I focus primarily on user-centered issues which takes me all over the library issues realm, from what options should our users have on our public workstations to exploring and experimenting with emerging and contemporary technologies. My position includes a lot of direct instruction, I teach a one credit course Accessing Information for Research, as well as Freshman Seminar in addition to subject and general information research sessions. I also create tutorials with the assitance of some very talented student workers and am currently developing a delivery mechanism for information literacy for distance courses and campus courses a like. It's an exciting collaborative project that can be included in a course without necessitating classtime for a library visit. I'll be sure to add an article on the project as it develops.
I'm also an avid disc golfer, and music enthusiast. When the weather is warm and I'm not at work you'll most likely find me out on the local disc golf course huckin' discs as far and as often as I can. Should a good band be playing within about a 400 mile radius there is a good chance I'll be there as well. I collect live music and have a sizable collection. Sometime soon I hope to have my list available here.
I hope you enjoy the wiki.
Best,
Steve
